Body Geometry Fit

The Cyclery is extremely proud to offer all our customers a Body Geometry Fit Service.

Whether you’re just starting out as a rider or a seasoned professional, having a poor fit can greatly affect the quality and enjoyment of your ride. While there are many fit services to choose from, Body Geometry Fit is the most comprehensive fit system available to all riders, regardless of experience level or even the brand of bike they choose to ride. It goes beyond the basics offered by competitors, and is an individualized, scientifically proven system focusing on all aspects of a rider’s position.

Designed specifically to help cyclists ride faster, longer, in greater comfort, and with less chance of injury, Body Geometry Fit has been developed through years of co-operation with Dr. Andy Pruitt, Ed.D., PA of the Boulder Center for Sports Medicine, and is available only through Specialized dealers.

James has been away and has been trained by Dr. Andy Pruitt himself and is now an Accredited Technician and has performed numerous fits and the feedback is awesome.

What to Expect and Bring

A Body Geometry Fit is an extremely thorough process that can take up to 3 hours. You will need to bring your bike and riding kit including your cycling shoes.

The Body Geometry Bike Fit Process

1. Pre-Fit Interview
Every fit, whether you’re a novice or experienced cyclist- starts with a brief interview between your trained technician and you to assess and understand your injury history, your needs and your goals.

2. Flexibility Assignment
This evaluation allows your technician to gain an accurate picture of your flexibility and other physical attributes. It includes assessing your foot structure, knee position, spinal curve, shoulder extension, hip flexion and leg length, among others.

3. Side View
Your technician will assess your riding via side view. The goal is to deliver a correct neutral position that's both powerful and comfortable through adjustments to seat height, handlebar height, stem length and cleat position.

 4. Front View
Your technician will analyse you from a frontal view also to optimize your hip, knee and foot alignment for greater performance and balanced power delivery. Included will be an analysis of pedal and shoe placement and your squareness on the saddle.

 5. Follow Up
After a week or so, your technician will call to discuss the effectiveness of the adjustments and to answer any other questions or concerns you may have. Any necessary follow up appointments are included in the initial fee.
